Among other provisions, the FFCRA requires employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19, effective April 1, 2020 (L-1).

New Information: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act—On June 15, 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or transgender status violates federal law under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.  All employers covered under Title VII are prohibited from discriminating against applicants or employees based on sexual orientation or transgender status (EO-13).
